Dental Folio is designed for professional dental users to capture, store, manage, and present clinical photographs securely and in a GDPR-compliant manner.
This Privacy Policy applies to (a) users of the App (dental professionals and their authorised staff) and (b) patient information processed through the App on behalf of those users. For patient information, we act as a data processor and your dental practice acts as the data controller.

Folio Tools Ltd acts as a Data Processor for all patient-related information stored through the App. Each dentist or dental practice using the App acts as an independent Data Controller, responsible for compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, HIPAA (where applicable), and local clinical regulations.

Dental Folio does not perform facial recognition, biometric identification, face mapping, landmark extraction, measurement of facial geometry, or generation of biometric templates.
Faces may appear in clinical photographs, but the App treats them only as standard images and does not analyse facial features.

We do not verify or judge consent validity.
All clinical data is stored in Google Cloud (europe-west1, Belgium).
When you export images or patient files, exported data leaves our infrastructure and we no longer have control over its security. You become solely responsible for secure handling.
We retain data only while your account is active.
All associated images, metadata, and consent logs are deleted.
All images, patient files, consent logs, and associated metadata are permanently erased from our servers.
